What is this antique globe worth?
I have a Hammond's terrestrial globe. From what i can tell its from about 1929. Should i keep it or its it clutter.........
ok when i first wrote the ? i didnt have it in front of me but now i do 
its a 9 inch globe with distance in nautical miles. It has an Iron Ring around it giving latitute and longitute. Theres some kind of clock type divice at the north pole thats like a movable iron circle about half dollar size. It is sitting in a wooden stand with "Aa33" inpressed on the bottom and an auction number written in a white chalk like substance. Hope this helps

This sounds like yours...
"Hammond, C. S. & Co. Hammond's 9 inch Terrestrial globe. --3036--Principal steamship routes with distances in nautical miles. Principal transcontinental railways. Copyright patent pending. C.S. Hammond & Co. New York/Brooklyn/Boston. c1930. Dull finish paper gores over aluminum orb, time dial at north Pole. Oceans finished in a dark pea green, nautical distances and analemma scale. Surface a bit more detailed than earlier. Full ring bronze meridian on a walnut four-leg table stand with plain horizon ring. Shows Polish Corridor in Europe, Leningrad in Russia, Manchuria still independent, Korea not called Chosen. Hammond made a real effort in the 1920's to market elegantly mounted home globes.
