where to find old dining table?

in magazines and decorating books i see a lot of old dining tables (old but NICE looking with lots of character) being used. i like the look and it's practical for kids. but could i look to find one? the used ones i see are not really old, just used and run-of-the-mill.

i like the raw finishes.. something like a farm table. i wouldn't like an antique with polished finishes.

Ebay has some nice ones that are made out of reclaimed wood or old barn wood that have that look - just type in farm table and see what comes up - there may be a seller in your area.
